The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Sustainability Strategy Analyst located inHazelwood, MO or Tukwila, WA, United States to join our Global Sustainability Reporting and Governance team.


This role is part of the Global Enterprise Sustainability (GES) organization, which supports Boeing’s efforts to enhance resilience and efficiency. The Global Sustainability Reporting and Governance team within GES contributes to public policy development globally, prepares sustainability reports aligned to various global requirements (e.g. California SB261, CSRD, ISSB, etc.), and manages compliance, operational and strategic risks for the GES organization.


The team is looking for a proactive engaged professional to support global greenhouse gas (GHG) strategy, activity data collection and annual GHG calculations to support the various global requirements facing the Company. The role includes supporting the development and execution of strategies to ensure the reporting team meets GHG regulatory requirements and is prepared for emerging assurance requirements related to Boeing GHG inventory system and processes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for integrating GHG standards/policy positions and advocacy strategies globally. This role is ideal for someone with GHG Protocol Corporate Standard experience - who excels at coordination, stakeholder communication, and process improvement.


Position Responsibilities:




Support annual process improvement initiatives for GHG reporting.



Contribute to the development of strategies and support the execution of GHG assurance readiness initiatives to prepare Boeing for emerging regulatory assurance requirements.





Support the global GHG activity data collection process and partner with adjacent functions, such as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF), and Boeing Global Enterprise Services (BGES) on activity data collection that directly supports our GHG inventory calculations.



Directly support GHG calculations for Boeing and its subsidiaries.



Ensure alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) and other regulatory standards.



Support advocacy efforts regarding the various emerging GHG standards.



Support Enablon system updates to improve the GHG collection and calculation processes.



Critical Skills & Key Requirements for Success




Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in matrixed organizations.



Experience with GHG data collection, aggregation and calculations; knowledge and experience with Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard methodology.



Experience with Enablon and an understanding of its usage in GHG collection and calculation processes.



Effective written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both written and verbal English.



High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.



Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment through proactive collaboration.



Ability to work across multiple time zones – most notably the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, and the European Union.



Proven ability to engage multiple internal stakeholders to drive involvement and collaboration through influence.



Proficiency with MS Office suite, project and data management tools.



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):




Bachelor's degree or higher.



3+ years of experience in environmental data collection, GHG calculation / reporting, and/or data analysis and integration.



Ability to travel (including internationally) up to 20% of the time.



Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):




Master’s degree or higher.



5 or more years of experience in environmental data collection, GHG calculation / reporting, and/or data analysis and integration.



Knowledge of Boeing businesses, facilities, process, and/or command media.



Experience applying the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard to calculate Scope 1 and 2 emissions and other global emissions standards.



Experience developing policy and regulatory positions and strategies.



Experience in multi-tasking and working in a team environment.



Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.

Summary Pay Range: $99,450-$143,750
