Description



The Environmental Restoration Ecologist / Scientist will play a crucial role in our Environmental Hydrology and Design team, working out of one of our Northern California offices in Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose. The specialist will engage in habitat restoration and multi-benefit flood management from watershed headwaters to the sea, applying the latest scientific techniques and practical tools to develop solutions that integrate ecological function with sound engineering design.

Skills




Technical expertise in restoration ecology and knowledge of California’s native habitats
Experience in producing native habitat restoration design documents
Proficient in preparing environmental documents
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration
Well-organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities


Responsibilities




Select, apply, and adapt techniques for restoration design projects
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on habitat restoration approaches
Author environmental documents and technical reports
Conduct and lead biological field studies
Oversee project tasks and logistics as a Deputy Project Manager or Project Manager


Qualifications




Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Biology or a related ecological field
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
Proven ability in preparing clear and concise environmental reports
Experience with project management and team collaboration
