Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Landscape Architect (PLA) with strong urban design experience to lead the planning, design, and delivery of public realm and landscape projects. The role combines creative vision, technical expertise, and project leadership to produce resilient, site-responsive urban landscapes. The successful candidate will direct design work, manage project budgets and proposals, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and maintain client relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance and construction quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop design concepts and urban design strategies from schematic design through construction documentation and construction administration.Produce high-quality landscape and urban design drawings, details, and specifications using Revit and other design software; manage BIM coordination with consultants.Prepare and review project budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals; monitor project financials and ensure work is completed on time and on budget.Lead project teams and mentor junior staff, providing guidance on design, technical documentation, and professional development.Manage client relationships, present design proposals and public-facing materials, and respond to stakeholder feedback.Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, landscape contractors, and other consultants to ensure integrated project delivery and constructability.Ensure designs comply with municipal codes, accessibility standards, permitting requirements, and PLA professional standards.Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, qualifications submissions, and project pursuit strategies.Qualifications

Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA) in good standing; ability to obtain licensure in additional jurisdictions preferred.Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.510+ years of professional experience focused on landscape architecture and urban design, with a strong portfolio of public realm, streetscape, park, or urban plaza projects.Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows; strong competency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or equivalent design tools.Demonstrated experience preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and client proposals.Strong design, technical documentation, and construction administration skills, with attention to detail and constructability.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to clients and public stakeholders.Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines.Familiarity with sustainability standards (e.g., LID, stormwater best practices, LEED) and municipal permitting processes is a plus.Comfortable traveling to project sites and attending client or community meetings as needed.Benefits
