The role involves overseeing construction, commissioning, and management of High Voltage Grid Stations, ensuring compliance with schedules, quality, and costs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, 5 years of project management experience, and knowledge of HV grid equipment.
Job Description SummaryResponsible for activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to High Voltage Grid Stations. Responsible for operations planning/execution of all site activities, managing site team and all stakeholders including customer, consultants, and sub contractors to achieve the business KPIs.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesSite Construction Manager for 132kV/220kV/500kV Turnkey Grid Station Projects, with in-depth knowledge of installation and commissioning of key electrical equipment like GIS, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, Auto-transformers, Power Transformers, Protection and Control Systems, Telecom and other Auxiliary Systems.Supervisory role that is responsible for ENTIRE scope of site activities during bidding and/or execution phase, acting under the direction and on behalf of the overall project leader. Leads site team and manages execution of the project scope of work. Could also be managing multiple sites. Ensures schedule, quality and cost are in compliance with contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations.Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated scenarios. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a mentor for colleagues with less experience. May lead small to medium size projects with low risks and resource requirements. Conveys performance expectations and able to handle sensitive issues.Effectively coordinate with sub-contractors at site specially related to Erection, Testing and Commissioning, along with coordination with Civil team and Civil sub-contractor.Proactively assess and anticipates the risks related to site activities and prepare mitigation plan for timely resolution.Participate in customer meetings at site to ensure project milestones completion as per project schedule, while ensuring project quality and EHS requirements.Required Qualifications A Bachelor's degree (in Electrical/Electronics Engineering) from a reputed/accredited university or college.Minimum 5 Years of experience in Project Management & Site Management.In depth knowledge and hands on experience on HV Grid equipment including Power Transformers, Circuit breakers, disconnectors, HV/MV Protection relays.- In-depth knowledge of EHS Guidelines and implementation at site for safe operations.Strong written and oral communication skills in EnglishDesired CharacteristicsA Master's degree in a related discipline, or Certifications for High Voltage Equipment will be a plus.Ability to lead medium to large teams. Managing multiple stakeholders at site.A PMP certification will be desirable.Formal trainings and Certifications for installation testing and commissioning of key equipment such as Auto Transformers, Power Transformers, HV Switchgear, Protection and Control Systems will be preferred.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Established project management skills.Additional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No
