Job Description
EV Connect is hiring a Lead Hardware/Software Test Engineer in Lake Forest, CA, to lead their Charger Certification program. Responsibilities include onboarding EVSE manufacturers, supporting internal and external stakeholders, and performing integration testing of charging hardware, firmware, and EV Connect's software. The role involves reviewing and validating new charging equipment, leading certification efforts, and troubleshooting technical issues. This is a full-time position with no specific degree requirement.
Lead Hardware/Software Test Engineer (EV Charging) | EV Connect | Lake Forest, CA
EV Connect is looking to hire a Lead Test Engineer to spearhead our Charger Certification program. This role will be responsible for the onboarding of EVSE manufacturers and the ongoing support of EV Connect’s Premiere Hardware Partnership program. The candidate will need to build deep domain expertise of our vendor products to support internal and external stakeholders, including customer support, installers, customers, etc. The candidate will also perform and support integration testing between charging hardware, firmware, EV vehicles, and EV Connect’s proprietary software platform.
Responsibilities
• Review, test, and validate new Charger equipment and/or systems from various charging vendors
• Lead certification efforts of new firmware from EVSE manufacturers
• Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of various EVSE manufacturers’ technical documentation
• Regularly engage with vendors on the EVC network for product feature and quality reviews
• Design and execute integration tests between hardware, firmware, vehicles with EVC software
• Investigate and troubleshoot system functionality and performance issues
• Execute regression testing on various hardware/software/firmware versions
• Perform triage and root cause analysis on hardware/software technical issues
