Project Manager – Civil/Site Land Development

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Waldorf, MD office. This role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of civil/site land development design projects, ensuring Client satisfaction, project profitability, and successful execution. The Project Manager will also supervise and mentor design staff, including team engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage Client relationships and project portfolios effectively.
• Develop and prepare proposals for potential Clients.
• Provide exceptional and responsive Client service.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
• Leverage technical expertise to assist Clients in achieving their development objectives.
• Represent Clients at key project milestones, including public presentations and hearings.
• Lead business development and marketing efforts for the firm.
• Mentor and develop staff while fostering a strong team environment.
• Supervise staff workload, ensure quality control in civil/site designs, and manage resource planning.
• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and recognize achievements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support company goals.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Maryland (required).
• Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering land development design (Southern Maryland experience preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience managing civil/site design for land development projects.
• 5+ years of experience supervising design staff.
• Strong organizational and delegation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to cultivate and maintain Client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
