About the position
As a highly motivated Junior Environmental Policy & Financial Analyst, you’ll be joining Cadmus’ rapidly growing practice supporting contracts with EPA and other government clients in the areas of drinking water, water quality, and resilience. Responsibilities
Providing policy and financial analysis on issues related to drinking water, wastewater, or storm water infrastructure financing, sustainability, and resilience.Providing policy or financial analysis on infrastructure grant programs to help EPA and states achieve priorities of public infrastructure funding, such as improving access to clean drinking water across the country, replacing lead service lines, and making America’s water infrastructure more resilient.Conducting data and statistical analyses, literature searches, and reviews on technical topics to support policy initiatives, process improvement, and assess the impacts of policy decisions.Writing or editing guidance documents, reports, case studies, presentations, and other documents.Providing general project support such as note-taking.Requirements
Professional demeanor, academic and professional excellence, and a clearly demonstrated work ethic.Highly motivated to perform and learn, able to work collaboratively and independently, detail-oriented, comfortable speaking in public, and able to manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with input from supervisors.Exceptional research, oral and written communication, and analytical skills.BA/BS and 2-4 years’ work experience in environmental management, public policy, public administration, finance, economics, municipal administration, or a similar role OR a Master's degree.Understanding of how to apply statistical, financial, and economic methods to answer policy questions.Ability to conduct research and collect and evaluate data in support of data-driven analyses and reports.Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills, and experience producing reports that clearly communicate technical analyses and results for the general public.Experience using Excel or other software to analyze data.Must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of basic principles of public financing and common financing instruments is preferred.Experience using R, Python, SQL, Virtual Basic, HTML and/or STATA or MATLAB, a plus.Some domestic travel may be required.Benefits
