Let’s be #BrilliantTogetherISS STOXX is looking for a Junior Climate Research Analyst for our Climate Solutions Team at the Mumbai - Goregaon East location.Overview:Climate Solutions is a unit within ISS Sustainability Solutions, the responsible investment business of ISS STOXX. As investors seek to gain a better understanding of their exposure to climate-related risks, Climate Solutions provides data, analytics, and advisory services to support investors in understanding, measuring, and acting on climate-related risks & opportunities and their impact on investments across all asset classes. ISS STOXX Sustainability Solutions Climate Solutions is an innovative market leader within its field.ISS STOXX Climate Team is working closely with its clients to help them with risk analysis and is looking for passionate team members to work extensively on different aspects of GHG emissions accounting, quantification of risks, and client support on these subjects, on day-to-day basis. The successful candidates will be part of ISS STOXX Climate Solutions team which works on a wide range of climate products and metrics for an ever-expanding investment universe.Responsibilities:Ensure the timely update, validation, and maintenance of emissions data and other climate‑related datapoints across internal systems.Conduct research, review, and analysis of company disclosures (e.g., Sustainability reports, Annual reports, Regulatory filings) to assess companies’ emissions performance and data quality.Provide subject‑matter support to internal stakeholders and clients by responding to queries related to climate data and methodologies.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency in climate research workflows, applying structured and creative problem‑solving approaches.Support the maintenance and enhancement of research infrastructure, including process documentation, methodology updates, and data mappings.Assist Client Services teams by handling client‑specific research requests and preparing customized climate data analyses where required.Qualifications:A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant work experience relating to data analytics or climate changePossess knowledge on scope 1, scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions of GHG ProtocolKnowledge about equities or financial markets terminology in general would be added advantageBachelor’s degree and a relevant Masters degree (Example: environmental science, environmental engineering, economics, climate change studies)Strong research and analytical skills, ability to quickly process large amounts of data and informationIntegrity, organizational skills, high attention to detail, a self-driven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environmentAbility to conduct deep dive research based on client needs and process requirementsExcellent oral and written command of EnglishWillingness to work with a highly collaborative, flexible, and innovative team across different locationsRegular work hours with slight flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and clients in different time zones#ENTRYLEVEL#ESG#LI-KK1What You Can Expect from UsAt ISS STOXX, our people are our driving force.
