We provide much-needed information on climate finance flows, apply in-depth analysis to guide decision makers on their efforts, and support innovation in finance to address investors’ needs and lower costs.Position SummaryThe successful candidate will work across the organisation, with a focus on CPI’s Tracking financial sector transition workstream. The candidate will primarily support method development and analysis for CPI’s Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT). The tool provides the most robust and transparent data on the global financial sector’s transition to net zero, informing policy direction, investment strategy, and advocacy decisions. Additionally, the candidate will support the Global Landscape of Climate Finance, the most comprehensive dataset and analysis of global climate financing available, used extensively in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Assessment Reports.In conducting analysis, the Junior Analyst will work in close cooperation with a range of international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with CPI teams throughout the world. Previous work experience with financial institutions/coalitions, transition plans and net zero frameworks, climate policy, or regulation are valuable assets.Primary Duties & Responsibilities Map and perform rigorous analysis of transition plans, net zero frameworks and disclosure regulation, as well as a review of existing data initiatives to be integrated in the dashboard.Efficiently collect and analyse varied and cross-disciplinary data to incorporate into useable and reportable formats.
