Summary:

The Field Service Technician II - Solar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will work alongside senior technicians to operate and maintain large-scale solar energy facilities. This role involves preventative and corrective maintenance of various equipment such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

Key Responsibilities:
• Takes guidance from senior site personnel.
• Acts as a role model for junior technicians.
• Troubleshoots low voltage DC and AC power systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Effectively uses hand tools and safety equipment.
• Utilizes computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Follows site safety plans and adheres to safe work practices.
• Implements lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
• Engages with project stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Represents RES professionally with stakeholders.
• Drives RES vehicles according to regulations and company policies.
• Displays punctuality and regular attendance.
• Complies with the Employee Handbook and company policies.
• Promotes a culture of safety and quality in the work environment.

• Adheres to safety and security procedures.
• Promotes safety as the highest priority while working.
• Encourages safe behaviors and addresses unsafe practices.
• Reports unsafe conditions and utilizes materials correctly.
• Conducts Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to work commencement.
• Understands and follows standard operating procedures.
• Receives task-specific training before beginning work.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience required.
• Familiarity with high voltage electrical power systems.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems.
• Understanding of electrical circuit theory and OSHA regulations.
• Experience operating equipment such as skid-steers and forklifts.
• Ability to create Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Experience with electrical tools like multimeters and IR cameras.
• Understanding of ANSI/NETA/MTS standards.
• Basic knowledge of SCADA systems.
• Must be within a 60-mile commuting radius of a major airport, ideally in locations such as Denver, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, or Atlanta.
• Strong competencies in collaboration, attention to detail, ethics, communication, and prioritization.
• Willingness to travel domestically 76-100% of the time.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Salary: Anticipated base salary range is $28.09 - $35.11, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Physical Requirements: The position may require physical activities including but not limited to:

• Constantly: Reading, grasping, handling, hearing, reaching, vision, and repetitive motion.

Exposures may include wet conditions, noise, vibrations, extreme temperatures, and inherent hazards of the working environment.
