The Executive Director of Housing Affordability and Climate Resilience will lead a new organization focused on addressing housing affordability and climate issues in Los Angeles. About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Executive Director, who will play a lead role in establishing a new organization aimed at addressing the critical issues of housing affordability and climate resilience. The Executive Director will be responsible for:
Shaping and implementing a clear vision and strategic approach to impact housing affordability and climate resilience.Building essential structural foundations for the organization, setting both short-term and long-term goals.Developing an effective Board of Directors to guide the organization.Establishing a research agenda focused on innovative solutions for housing challenges.Collaborating with various stakeholders to advocate for supportive policy changes aligned with the organization's mission.The ideal candidate will possess:
A strong blend of leadership skills, strategic vision, and a genuine passion for driving change in housing and environmental sectors.A background in business, public policy, or nonprofit management.A proven ability to translate visionary ideas into implementable goals.In-depth understanding of socio-economic and environmental factors affecting housing affordability.Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.The Executive Director will be expected to stay updated on emerging trends and research in the field to ensure the organization's initiatives are impactful and relevant.
