Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we are partnering with a leading firm in the transport industry for an Environmental Specialist. This role offers you a unique opportunity to lead on environmental strategy development and drive waste reduction plans across the entirety of the UK's operations.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Specialist:
• Serve as the UK lead for environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and supporting the company's carbon reduction strategy.
• Collaborate with a sister firm to align sustainability KPIs and develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
• Champion best practices and act as a subject matter expert, embedding environmental awareness across the organisation.

A successful Environmental Specialist will have:
• Experience within an environmental or sustainability profession, ideally with a background in transport and logistics
• A degree (BSc or MSc) in an environmental discipline with a membership to IEMA a desirable.
• A strong background and understanding of environmental legislation, alongside relevant experience in collecting scope 1, 2 and 3 data.
