Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a specialist manufacturer to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer for their Birmingham site. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the team on-site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting continuous improvement.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Officer will include:

Promoting a positive health and safety culture, engaging with employees at all levels

Conducting site inspections and audits to identify hazards and support continuous improvement

Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

Supporting the site with risk assessments, incident investigations, and training initiatives

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Officer will have:

Some experience in a health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment

A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence others

A proactive and hands-on approach to health and safety
