Join us and be part of a company that is Leading with Science®. Tetra Tech is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to manage projects in our Missoula, Montana office. In this role, you will oversee environmental projects for a variety of commercial clients and key accounts. A degree in environmental science, geology, environmental engineering, or hydrogeology is preferred. Your typical tasks will include project management, preparing technical reports, developing and overseeing field sampling and procedures, supervising soil and groundwater investigations, conducting feasibility studies, designing remediation strategies, engaging in business development, and preparing proposals. This position is client-facing, so previous project management experience and the ability to develop client accounts and cross-sell environmental services are highly desired. As an Environmental Scientist, you will assist with writing proposals, obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors, and drafting cost estimates and project budgets. You will interface with clients, subcontractors, project groups, and internal customers. Your responsibilities will also include developing sampling plans and health and safety plans, supervising field investigations, preparing technical reports and memos, and reviewing environmental and geotechnical data. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team and provide project-level financial tracking, status reporting, invoicing, and management of accounts receivable and purchase orders.

• Interface with clients, subcontractors, project groups, and internal customers.

• Review and evaluate environmental and geotechnical data.

• Perform statistical analyses and provide data-based site recommendations.

• Provide project-level financial tracking, status reporting, invoicing, and management of accounts receivable and purchase orders.

Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, hydrogeology, geosciences, or related discipline required.

• 3 - 6 years of professional environmental consulting experience is required, with a history of increasing responsibility.
,
• Previous field experience required, including supervision of soil and groundwater investigations, sampling activities, and subcontractor oversight.

• Ability to travel and perform field work/oversight (approx. 25% - 50% of travel required).
,
• Must be a skilled technical writer.
,
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Training required.
,
• Supervisors of Hazardous Waste Operations Training preferred.
,
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro or AutoCAD desired.
,
• Experience with SQL or Access database use desired.
,
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
