Job Description

AECOM is hiring an Environmental Project Manager in Honolulu, HI, requiring 8+ years of experience in managing large-scale environmental remediation projects. Candidates must hold a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science, and be U.S. citizens with the ability to travel 10% of the time. Responsibilities include project management, team oversight, and ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule. Salary ranges from $110K to $150K.
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience for their Honolulu, HI office. The role involves managing large‑scale environmental remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam, overseeing a team of up to 10 personnel. Candidates must have a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science, alongside experience on projects exceeding $10 million. U.S. citizenship and availability to travel at least 10 % of the time are required.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
• Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and acts as the primary liaison between AECOM and the client interface.
• Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
• Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout, with significant profit/loss responsibility for the assigned project.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related discipline plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• U.S. Citizen (access to DoD project sites).
• Ability to travel at least 10 % of the time.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Ability to obtain a DBIDs pass for access to federal military installation site locations.
• Experience with CERCLA and environmental science principles, including site assessment, characterization, remediation, risk assessment, and environmental chemistry.
• Current 40‑Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications and meeting OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical clearance requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Professional registration.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
• Knowledge of State of Hawaii, Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulations.
• Extensive DoD and CLEAN experience in Hawaii and Guam.
• Proven project estimating experience, preferably environmental.
• Demonstrated experience with client and regulatory interactions.
• Excellent written and spoken communication, organization, and time‑management skills, including polished client presentation abilities.
• Field work may be required, including oversight of subcontractors.

Compensation

The expected range is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00.
