Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience for large-scale remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam. The role involves managing a team, overseeing project administration, and ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule. Candidates must have a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science, and U.S. citizenship is required. The position is based in Honolulu and involves some travel.
About the position
AECOM has an immediate need for a middle to Senior Project Manager (PM V) to support our Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam. This position will be based in Honolulu to be specific. In this role, this role will be focused on multiple large-scale remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam to include the management of a team of up to 10 persons including subcontractors. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing environmental remediation projects of $10 million dollars or greater - including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Remedial Actions for the Federal sector. The successful candidate will have at a minimum a BS in Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science with a successful work history of environmental investigation and remediation projects.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline and 8 plus years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.US Citizen, for access to DoD project sitesAbility to travel at least 10% of the timeMust successfully pass preemployment background check, and motor vehicle records check.Sponsorship for this position will not be available now or in the future.Nice-to-haves
Master’s Degree in environmental engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.Ability to successfully obtain a DBIDs pass to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations.Experienced with CERCLA and environmental science principles, including site assessment and characterization, remediation, risk assessment, environmental chemistry, etc.Candidate must possess current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications and be able to meet the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.Effective oral and written communication skillsProfessional registrationExperience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.Knowledgeable and experience working on State of Hawaii, Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulation.Extensive DOD and CLEAN Experience in Hawaii and Guam.Proven project estimating experience, preferably environmentalDemonstrated experience with Client and Regulatory interactionsExcellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills), organization, time management.Field work might be required, including oversight of subcontractors.Benefits
