Environmental Planner (Hybrid) Western U.S - 19400002251 at TETRA TECH INC. in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Tetra Tech is adding an Environmental Planner to provide permitting and compliance services within our energy, mining, and federal lands practices market sectors. These projects include transmission lines, solar, wind, natural gas transmission pipelines, mine development, mine closure, and NEPA support. This position will ideally be located in the Tetra Tech Boise, ID office.The primary focus for this position will be supporting projects as part of our growing energy practice. Project work may include managing environmental permitting for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery energy storage) as well as transmission lines.Successful candidates will have a strong technical background in siting, permitting, and evaluating environmental impacts of renewable energy (or other) projects for National Energy Policy Act Compliance (NEPA). Experience working with the following environmental, regulatory and land use agencies is desired: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and Bureau of Land Management (BLM), state agencies (or similar), and/or local county and city planning departments. Discover your full potential - join us to advance your career while leaving a lasting legacy.Your Role: Support Project Managers and staff with the development of critical issues analyses and siting studies.Support Project Managers and staff with the preparation and production of land use and resource permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies and jurisdictions.Ability to assist with proposals for clients and develop detailed cost estimates.Manage environmental studies and resource analyses both independently and working with a team of subject matter experts.Support Project Managers with the development of public outreach materials such as strategic communication plans, stakeholder databases, fact sheets, newsletters, brochures, and websites.Support Project Managers with project schedules and tracking of budgets and deliverables.Lead the coordination of project logistics and work with other team members to facilitate the workflow for project deliverables through tasking, draft development, internal reviews, submittal, and responses to comments.Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder outreach, public meetings, and tracking and recording stakeholder contacts.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as environmental planning, environmental studies, natural resources, or similar degree or equivalent.5 to 8 years of demonstrated work experience performing similar tasks.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
