Job Description
Angus Council is hiring an Environmental Health Technician to join their Environmental Protection team in Arbroath, UK. The role involves sampling private water supplies and addressing environmental health issues like air quality and public complaints. The position offers flexible working arrangements, including the option to work from home. This temporary role is available until March 26, 2026, and candidates should have good computer skills.
Job Description
Based at Bruce House, Wellgate, Arbroath.

You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you will work from a variety of locations, working from council buildings, working in service user’s locations and site visits and you can work from home to best suit your work, meetings and collaboration.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Environmental Protection team within Environmental Health at Angus Council.
Predominantly responsible for the sampling of private water supplies across the Glens of Angus, the role will include variety of environmental health related duties such as air quality monitoring and public nuisance complaints.
The successful candidate should have good computer skills and an understanding of key environmental health functions.
This job is temporary until no later than 26 March 2026.
Internal and external applications on a secondment basis will be considered. You must have the approval of your line manager / organisation.
