Environmental Subject Matter Expert

VirtualVocations is seeking a full-time Environmental Subject Matter Expert to provide expertise to DoD installations. Responsibilities include conducting environmental studies, leading NEPA analyses, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Candidates should have experience with NEPA at the EA or EIS level and knowledge of federal and state regulations, preferably with experience in supporting DoD installations.
Environmental Subject Matter Expert, this full-time remote position involves providing environmental expertise to DoD installations, conducting studies, and ensuring compliance with NEPA and other regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct environmental studies and analyses in support of DoD installations Lead or support NEPA analysis including categorical exclusions, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements Prepare regulatory documentation and ensure compliance with environmental laws and DoD policies Required Qualifications Experience conducting NEPA analyses at the EA or EIS level Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations Experience supporting DoD installations or other federal agencies preferred Ability to obtain a favorable NACI background investigation IAT Level I professional certification
