About the position

The Southeast Utah Health Department is seeking a full-time Environmental Health Scientist to join their team in either the Moab or Price office. This role focuses on ensuring public health through sanitation inspections, complaint investigations, and public education initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Conduct sanitation inspections of eating establishments, commercial facilities, and public buildings.

• Inspect onsite wastewater systems.

• Respond to and investigate complaints related to public health.

• Conduct public education on health and safety practices.

Requirements
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field for licensure as a Registered Environmental Health Scientist in Utah.

• Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
