Job Title: EHS Technician

Location: 501 Westwood Plaza, 4th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90095.

Department: Environment Health & Safety (EHS)

Pay: $18-$23/HR, depending on experience

Hours: 40 hours. 8 hour shifts between from 8am-8pm.

Reports To: EHS Manager

Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Environment Health & Safety Manager, the EHS Technician will support the EHS programs by implementing the Radiofrequency Identification (RFID) Chemical Inventory Reconciliation Program across campus research laboratories. This position involves conducting chemical container inventory, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and maintaining data accuracy within the database.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the RFID Chemical Inventory Reconciliation Program in research laboratories.
• Conduct chemical container inventory and ensure accurate data entry.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure proper chemical management.
• Assist in the development and improvement of EHS programs and procedures.

Must-Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions accurately and efficiently.
• Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment.

Plusses:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (chemistry, biology, engineering).
• Previous experience in research, chemistry, and/or inventory management.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
