Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist




Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support the execution of utility-scale energy storage projects and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This role will focus on risk management, employee safety, incident prevention, and continuous improvement across project operations.




Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulationsConduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessmentsDevelop and deliver EHS training programsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near-missesSupport emergency response planning and preparednessManage environmental compliance, waste handling, and sustainability initiativesMaintain EHS documentation, records, and regulatory reportingDrive continuous improvement in workplace safety and compliance


Requirements

5+ years of EHS experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, or related environmentsStrong knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance standardsExperience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety programsExcellent communication, training, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teams


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Public Health, or related fieldCertifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, OSHA Outreach Trainer, or NEBOSHExperience supporting large-scale energy, industrial, manufacturing, or construction projectsExperience implementing EHS management systems and improving safety performance metrics
