Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Overview
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in Pembina, ND, to find a talented Environmental Health & Safety Specialist. This role is key to keeping employees safe, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.

What You'll Do
Lead hazard response, safety inspections, and emergency actions. Conduct investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure proper reporting. Develop and deliver EHS training programs and certifications for staff. Monitor production and facility operations to ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 14001/45001, and environmental regulations. Maintain records, reports, and data analysis to track and reduce safety risks. Collaborate with other facilities and teams to standardize safety programs. Support service center locations, including occasional travel. Skills & Experience 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, GHS/WHMIS, ANSI standards, and building/fire codes. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint). First Aid/CPR certification required; Health & Safety certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 25-30 lbs as needed. Comfortable working in noisy, hot, cold, or PPE-required environments.
