ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an Environmental Coordinator to assist with our environmental compliance activities!
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
Ensure Company’s EPA, State, and local environmental regulatory compliance.
Perform environmental site visits at Aggregate, Ready Mix, Asphalt, and Construction Yard sites.
Assess compliance with applicable rules and permits to include Air, Stormwater, Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention.
Create a schedule to inspect inactive covered sites annually.
Collect samples as required by permit. Submit samples to laboratories utilizing approved protocols.
Assist with land use permitting.
Communicate land use conditions to operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (types and extent of knowledge, skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and strategic organization skills, Able to work productively with a wide variety of personnel in other roles including management, supervisory, operational, financial, and other technical and administrative staff. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies.
Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills, as well as public speaking/presentations.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to travel within North Dakota and Minnesota on an intermittent basis to connect with field operations and managers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
Associates degree in Land Use Planning, Physical, Biological, or Political Science or related field.
2-3 years’ experience in an office setting with intermediate to advanced use of computer software.
Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Physical, Biological, or Political Science or related field.
Environmental fieldwork experience.
COMPENSATION:
$26 - $28 per hour depending on experience.
