About the position

The Environmental Analyst VI position within the Dam Safety Program is responsible for leading the Project Management group, focusing on program fiscal budgeting, planning, procurement, and grant management. The role emphasizes public safety and aims to mitigate risks associated with dam incidents through effective communication and regulation. The analyst will manage administrative tasks, oversee budgeting and project tracking, and coordinate with engineers while also applying for federal grants and managing contracts related to dam safety.

Responsibilities
• Lead the Project Management group within the Dam Safety Program.

• Manage the Program's administrative staff member.

• Perform capital and program budgeting and planning with the Chief Engineer.

• Track projects and budgets effectively.

• Coordinate with DSP engineers on various projects.
,
• Apply for and manage federal grants related to dam safety.

• Develop and manage a dam safety loan fund program.
,
• Oversee database management for the program.

• Procure and manage contracts to support dam safety regulation and ownership.

Requirements
• Master's degree or higher in a biological-life or physical science, engineering, a social science, data science, or an environmental or natural resources field with two or more years of experience in a natural resources field.

• Bachelor's degree in a biological-life or physical science, engineering, a social science, data science, or an environmental or natural resources field with three or more years of experience in a natural resources field.

• Six years or more of experience in an engineering, environmental, social science, data science, or natural resources field.
