Position Summary

The Battery Energy Storage Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role supports reliable site performance by performing preventive maintenance, responding to alarms, and diagnosing system issues across electrical, mechanical, and control components.

Key Responsibilities


Operate, monitor, and maintain battery energy storage systems in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on batteries, inverters, transformers, switchgear, HVAC, fire suppression, and auxiliary systems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and communication faults using schematics, diagnostic tools, and SCADA systems
Respond to system alarms and outages, including after‑hours or on‑call support as required
Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning support for new or upgraded equipment
Document work activities, maintenance reports, and system performance data accurately
Coordinate with operations, engineering, vendors, and OEMs to resolve technical issues
Maintain compliance with company safety policies
Support site cleanliness, inventory management, and tool accountability
Limited travel to additional sites as needed to work on battery/ solar assets.
