Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Environmental Scientist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful fisheries, water, natural resources, and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have a focus on fisheries biology and will support key initiatives, including the upcoming projects with NPPD and OPPD.

Responsibilities
• Assist with fisheries, water, natural resources, and environmental projects.
• Support GIS-related tasks and data analysis for environmental projects.
• Contribute to upcoming projects for NPPD and OPPD, with a focus on compliance and project execution.
• Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team on environmental assessments, data collection, and reporting.
• Help with the preparation and analysis of environmental documents and reports.

Required Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Fisheries, or Natural Resources.
• A strong interest or background in fisheries biology and environmental science.
• Familiarity with GIS and its application in environmental projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, with both remote and on-site work.

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Drug Screen Statement

Pay Range

$50,000—$60,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
