Position Details
Savion is looking for a project developer to join its Emerging Technologies team, managing data center and gas-fired generation projects in ERCOT, BPA, PJM and other regions. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional project teams – both internal resources and external consultants -- with expertise in engineering, permitting, environmental, real estate/title, and transmission. Previous experience in data centers or gas-fired generation development a plus.


The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who takes ownership of assignments, seeks opportunities to learn, welcomes mentorship and feedback, and is motivated to grow into a lead developer role over time.


Responsibilities
Project schedule, critical path, and critical issues management and reporting Site acquisition including landowner negotiations Coordination of local, state, and federal permitting processes Coordination of project environmental and wildlife studies Support stakeholder engagement, community outreach, and project communication efforts Support project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities. Coordination of the project interconnection process Coordination of preliminary project design Monitor relevant local and state regulatory or legislative developments and communicate updates to the team Must be willing to travel 25%+ of time
Job Requirements
4-year college degree required Project management experience required 2-5 years of experience in energy, infrastructure, real estate development, engineering, permitting, environmental consulting, or related fields Ability to make progress in ambiguous situations, prioritize competing demands, and drive workstreams to completion with limited supervision. Ability to navigate regional environmental and site permitting processes required; familiarity with air permitting a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc. required Demonstrated leadership potential, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate internal stakeholders and external consultants toward common project objectives.
