Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join our Resilience Solutions Group as a Climate Change Adaptation Planner. The successful candidate will have a strong background in natural hazard resilience work and experience leading tasks or projects.
You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and developing effective hazard mitigation policy and design solutions for local, state, and federal clients, and supporting the execution of technical studies and analytical processes.
In addition, you will facilitate client meetings to identify complex problems and strategies to address them, and lead the facilitation of collaborative meetings and one-on-one discussions with partners, clients, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience leading tasks or projects for natural hazard resilience work.
• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Policy Analysis, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or another related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Familiarity with FEMA policies and programs, such as RiskMAP, National Flood Insurance Program, and Hazard Mitigation Assistance grants preferred.
