Job Description
Agricul™ is seeking a Climate / Carbon Project Analyst in India to contribute to carbon mitigation projects and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities include technical evaluation, carbon accounting, project validation, and monitoring global carbon market trends. Candidates should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and 4-5 years of experience in carbon markets or sustainability consulting. Strong knowledge of GHG accounting and project verification is preferred.
As a Climate / Carbon Project Analyst at GPC Agrochemicals Pvt. Ltd., your role will involve contributing to impactful climate solutions by working on carbon mitigation projects, environmental sustainability, and global carbon market standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting technical evaluation and analysis of carbon mitigation and sustainability projects.
Performing carbon accounting, emission baseline analysis, and monitoring assessments.
Supporting validation and verification processes for carbon projects under international frameworks such as VCS, GS, and CDM.
Assisting in project audits, site visits, and stakeholder consultations.
Preparing technical reports, project documentation, and analytical insights.
Monitoring global carbon market trends, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability standards.
Utilizing GIS and data analysis tools for project monitoring and environmental reporting.
Qualifications required for this role include:
Masters Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Agriculture, or a related field.
45 years of experience in carbon markets, climate projects, sustainability consulting, or environmental analysis.
Strong knowledge of GHG accounting, carbon stock assessment, and AFOLU methodologies.
Experience in carbon project validation, verification, or climate reporting will be an added advantage.
