Job Description

Green Freight Asia is seeking an Associate/Junior Associate - Sustainability in Singapore to support sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities include data analysis on energy and emissions, providing recommendations, engaging with members, organizing events, and promoting achievements. Candidates should have strong quantitative skills and familiarity with sustainability reporting. The position is open to fresh graduates and requires effective communication and teamwork. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.
Green Freight Asia Network Ltd (GFA) is a non-profit association of industry players, which collaborates with companies, NGOs, and governments to improve energy efficiency, reduce CO2e emissions, and to lower operational costs across the entire supply chain. GFA is currently accepting applications for the position of 'Associate/Junior Associate - Sustainability' starting immediately. The position will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Fresh graduates may apply.


Responsibilities



Collect and analyse data on energy, water, and waste consumption and the related GHG emissions arising from business operations and create Annual Emission Reports and Sustainability Reports


Analyse data for emission hotspots and areas of improvement


Provide industry specific recommendations related to energy and fuel efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon offsetting


Leverage existing industry knowledge, identify new solutions, follow up on leads, develop and implement strategies for projects


Evaluate sustainability performance of companies through analysing their operations and data


Engage and work with GFA Members across APAC countries to develop and nurture positive community partnerships


Organize and hold meetings, workshops, webinars, and conferences with different stakeholders


Monitor the achievements of GFA Members and their progress towards sustainability through GFA’s programmes


Promote Members’ achievements on social networks (e.g., LinkedIn, Website, Newsletters, Marketing Campaigns)


Identify potential members or clients and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and equipment needs


Expand the network of Members through direct contracting of GFA services. Plan and develop programmes for overall growth.


Business development through seeking out new members, solution providers, collaborators and partnerships


Offer the Association’s services to member and non-member companies


Create partnerships and execute pilot projects


Create marketing material on GFA programmes and events



Qualifications



Strong quantitative skills; able to process, analyse and visualize data


Familiarity with sustainability or GHG reporting frameworks and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, Science-based Targets initiative (SBTi), GRI, GRESB etc.)


Have strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills in speaking and writing


Self-driven and able to take initiative


Able to multi-task, time-manage and complete projects with deadlines


Able to work collaboratively with team members


Experience required: 0 to 2 years; fresh graduates may apply


Fluency in other languages besides English would be preferred
