Job Description

BioSpace is hiring an Associate Principal Scientist for Regenerative Immunology in Englewood, NJ. The role involves leading a team in thymic regeneration to rejuvenate the aging immune system, requiring expertise in immunology and iPSCs. Candidates should have a PhD/MD-PhD and at least 10 years of relevant research experience. The position offers a salary range of $160,000 to $215,000, plus additional compensation.
ICR's Regenerative Immunology program is focused on regenerating the aging immune system, the decline of which underlies many of the most devastating age-related diseases. We're hiring a Principal Scientist to lead our Thymic Regeneration Team to restore thymic function and rejuvenate adaptive immunity. You'll need a deep background in immunology, thymic biology and iPSCs.

Lead a cutting-edge team developing iPSC-derived thymic epithelial cells (iTECs) and thymic organoids to rejuvenate the aging immune systemContribute highly practical and readily translatable thymic regeneration, immune reconstitution and rejuvenative medicine ideasDesign and optimize directed-differentiation protocols to generate functional, TECs from human iPSCsCollaborate with other ICR scientists and groups to advance immune rejuvenation under a personalized medicine paradigm


Please Apply If You Have

A PhD or MD/PhDAt least 10 years of research experience, preferably in thymic biology, stem cell differentiation, organoid engineering or regenerative immunologyCurrent and in-depth knowledge of thymic epithelial cell biology, iPSC directed differentiation, T-cell development and tissue engineeringExpert knowledge in experimental therapeutics and the landscape of developmental pipelines of practical, actionable interventions to treat and prevent age-related immune senescence and achieve immune regeneration/rejuvenation


Ideally, You'll Also Have

Expert knowledge of thymic epithelial cell ontogeny, FOXN1 biology, T-cell selection and thymic niche reconstitutionExperience with iPSC culture, directed differentiation, 3D organoid culture, single-cell genomics, RNAseq, flow cytometry, immunofluorescent microscopy, CRISPR gene editing and cell cultureExperience with in vivo transplantation, humanized mouse models and assessment of functional immune reconstitutionEven if you don't meet all of these criteria, please apply anyway

Salary

Starting base pay range: $160,000/yr - $215,000/yr
