Water Project Manager - Great Falls, MT

The Water Project Manager engineer is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful infrastructure projects that serve communities and support environmental sustainability.

Our projects run the gamut from new Water Treatment Plants, Water Resource Recovery Facilities, Booster Stations, and Lift Station designs to technical upgrades and/or expansion of these facility types. We design multiple facilities in numerous locations and deliver technical solutions to public and private clientele. We are looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with water and/or wastewater engineering experience, an entrepreneurial vision, and commitment to providing extreme client service. The Water/Wastewater Project Manager engineer will be responsible for the performance of project team members and will work closely with team members to provide high-quality deliverables on time and on budget to AE2S clients.

Responsibilities

Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administrationManage performance and provide mentorship of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and TechniciansMaintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective/new clientsIdentify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunitiesProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project workMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignmentsCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings

Qualifications

Basic

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related fieldRegistration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months8+ years consulting experience in waterStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business developmentAbility to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team membersPrior project management experienceAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred

Master's degree in civil engineering or related field10+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systemsProven client relationshipsKnowledge of CDPHE design standardsKnowledge of CDPHE water regulations and permittingPhysical
Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrainAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of timeOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twistOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weightMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwearMay require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workloadMay be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
