Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.\nHDR is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in Springfield, Missouri. In this position, you will support the growth and delivery of HDR’s Wastewater Market Sector in Springfield and throughout Missouri and Kansas. You will lead multi-discipline teams in the planning and design of treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance including condition assessment, asset management, and master planning.\nAs the Wastewater Project Manager you will help to promote the advancement of business development strategies, pursuit of new clients and new projects; maintain and strengthen existing client relationships; provide project management and technical expertise for key projects; and support staff development. In the role of Project Manager Engineering, we'll count on you to:
Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projectsProduce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrentlyEstablish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingsConduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholdersCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on scheduleTrack financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and scheduleWork with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviewsMaintain quality in project delivery and implement QA/QC proceduresSupervise project staff and mentor staffPerform other duties as neededRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering7 years related experienceA minimum 2 years project management experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)Demonstrated leadership skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustNice-to-haves
Strong technical background and experience in designing treatment facilities and collection systemsA team player with the ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teamsExcellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
