Salary

The salary range for this position is $89,000-$116,000 per year, with individual pay based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.

Job Description

This role involves managing urban planning projects that support the sustainable growth and development of the community. As a Urban Project Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing projects, conducting research, collaborating with stakeholders, developing comprehensive plans, and facilitating public meetings.

Required Skills/Abilities
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp;
• Good research skills, and good written and verbal communication skills;
• Developing proficiency of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical design plans and reports;
• Attention to detail and developing design problem-solving skills;
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff;
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges;
• Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Planning, Environment Studies, Architecture, or Arts, or equivalent required;
• 3 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in urban development;
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) Certification preferred;
