In this role, you will serve as a Sustainability and Energy Engineering Graduate - Consultant 1, where you will provide expertise and support for sustainable design practices across the company. Your responsibilities will include conducting building performance analyses, consulting with clients on decarbonization strategies, and supporting projects seeking various building certifications. You will actively lead sustainable design projects, assist in managing team workloads, and serve as a technical resource for resolving project issues. Your contributions will be vital in making design recommendations and participating in the quality control process for team projects. As part of the Sustainability and Energy team, you will engage in energy modeling, daylight analysis, carbon analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and certification support for LEED, WELL, PHIUS, and Green Globes. You will also develop technical analysis reports and present findings to both internal and external audiences. Responsibilities
• Conduct building performance analyses on IMEG projects
,
• Consult with clients on strategies to decarbonize and optimize their projects
,
• Support projects seeking building certifications including energy modeling and documentation
,
• Actively lead sustainable design projects and assist management of team workload
,
• Serve as a technical resource for resolving issues on projects with assistance from senior staff
,
• Assist in making design recommendations and design decisions with support from senior staff
,
• Participate in the quality control process for team projects
,
• Contribute to leadership in technical development for both large and small projects
,
• Develop technical analysis reports and presentation deliverables and present to internal and external audiences

Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent required
,
• No experience required, internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
,
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred
,
• Knowledge and implementation experience of national and local energy conservation codes and local laws
,
• Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
,
• Demonstrated aptitude to design/manage major large projects, and often multiple projects concurrently
,
• Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
,
• Ability to travel up to 10% with occasional overnight stays

Nice-to-haves
• Experience and certifications with FEMA and Homeland Security in Incident Command System (ICS)
,
• Experience with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, personnel, and procedures
,
• Knowledge of federal and regional tax rebate and incentive programs
,
• Custom programming/tool generation
,
• Post occupancy energy evaluation and measurement and verification
,
• Working knowledge of BIM programs
