Job Description
IEA Management Services is seeking a Traveling Assistant Project Manager for renewable energy projects, primarily solar, with extensive travel (up to 100%) across the U.S. Responsibilities include project coordination, managing documentation, and client communication. Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Traveling Assistant Project Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating solar projects from initiation through to successful completion. This is an exciting opportunity to travel across the United States, directly contributing to the growth of renewable energy.
Travel Requirements: This position involves extensive travel (up to 100%), with an average project duration of 8-12 months at various sites across the country. We provide a competitive daily per diem to aid in covering living expenses and routine travel home from job sites. A vehicle allowance will also be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee engineering studies and change order requests.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, and regional managers to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
• Manage submittals, requests for information, and document project activities effectively.
• Establish and maintain strong communication with owners or clients regarding project specifications and planning.
• Track job costs, predict monthly revenue streams, and ensure compliance with quality assurance and control standards.
• Address contract disputes and uphold prime contract integrity with the client.
• Facilitate monthly billing procedures and approve project-related invoices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in Solar or EPC construction, with a solid understanding of construction techniques and project management.
Skills & Abilities:
• Commit to health and safety, adhering to our Zero Injury principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting to various audiences.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry principles.
