Job Description

Growing civil engineering firm seeking a Transportation Engineer I or II to service sub-contracts with major engineering companies on projects for the California High Speed Rail Authority, Caltrans and LA Metro. Flexible work environment with opportunity to work remotely offered in most situations. Either full-time or part-time schedules can be accommodated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Design portions of large transportation projects to the appropriate standards using relevant office software and modeling tools.Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills to solve problems.Prepare specifications for materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.Work to complete design details and plan sets.Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.Prepare project reports and technical memosPerform QA/QC reviews and audits.Communicate with client staff and project design team.Qualifications

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
