Job Description

As Sustainability Coordinator, your role is to support the WSH Sustainability team in delivering Second Nature, WSH’s ESG strategy, ultimately delivering client value, a positive societal impact and ensuring compliance across all businesses.

The scope is broad and varies across the year. As Sustainability coordinator you will project manage key initiatives, support ESG data collection and analysis, produce reports and dashboards, maintain key documents and tools including the ESG sharepoint hub, and coordinate WSH’s ESG regulatory horizon scanning.

You will engage daily with different operating businesses, both in the UK and in mainland Europe, as well as different support functions and the ESG team.

Key Accountabilities include:

Efficient project management (20%):
• Project manage key initiatives development and roll out ensuring critical scaling. 2026 key projects include CSRD readiness, Food Waste 2.0, Deforestation and Modern Slavery phase 3.

Consistent information sharing (30%):
• Maintain the ESG hub on our internal share point site as content and page owner
• Lead and co-ordinate updating of key tools and documents including the environmental FAQs, ensuring they are up to date and widely available
• Support tender submissions
• Support communication initiatives including the ESG for breakfast podcast

Timely reporting and disclosure (30%):
• Support annual sustainability reporting, collecting, cleaning, aggregating and reporting data
• Support in collecting, cleaning, analysing and sharing environmental reports and benchmarks as needed, including but not exclusively carbon and food waste
• Support Step up and Progressive partnership 3rd party certifications, license applications and management

Step up delivery (10%):
• Support the 'Step Up' Supplier engagement program including Supply chain decarbonisation and key emissions supplier dashboard
• Review key templates (e.g. environmental assessments, OpCo checklist and Navitas ESG audit) as needed, minimum annually

Horizon scanning (10%):
• Lead and co-ordinate the Environmental Regulatory Horizon Scanning tool ensuring it remains up to date, coordinating input and gap closing actions

Qualifications

What we want from you:
• A relevant degree/higher education in an Environmental/Sustainability subject or proven track record of Environmental/ Sustainability projects
• Experience in implementing environmental initiatives is a plus
• Academic or actual understanding of environmental challenges facing the food & hospitality industry is a plus; previous industry experience not necessary
• Data savvy and analytical – able to use tools such as PowerBI and Excel to a high degree
• Good project management skills; a self-starter
• Able to manage individual time and workload against clear priorities
