The company offers professional development, employee perks, and promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Make it yours.

Experience the excitement of building a career in an evolving construction business where people and performance make amazing things happen.

This is Wamarra

Taking its name from the Wiradjuri word meaning ‘to build,’ Wamarra is a majority Aboriginal-owned, self-performing civil contractor working across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Wamarra specialises in comprehensive construction services, managing a diverse portfolio of complex projects and services. Our distinctive focus lies in fostering long-term, meaningful employment opportunities and skill development for our First Nations workforce.

Our experience in construction spans earthworks, pavements – roads and car parks, hard and soft landscaping, carpentry and site establishment, drainage and concreting.

The Role

As a Supervisor, you will assist our expansion into NSW by taking the lead of our site operations within the region, specifically based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

With a healthy workbook of projects incoming throughout the Riverina region, now has never been a better time to join an expanding, Indigenous owned & operated civil construction business.

Due to the regional nature of our expansion and our upcoming workbook, we invite metro-based candidates from Melbourne or Sydney to apply and we will be able to assist you with a relocation package.

Your Impact

Your presence on site will ensure our teams are efficiently operating, maximizing productivity and ensuring zero harm across our projects.

Your Every Day
• Successfully manage the program, budgets and quality assurance of all projects to ensure a high-quality project is delivered.
• Constantly build strong client relationships that position Wamarrafor repeat work.
• Manage site safety and environmental compliance on the project.
• Be the focal point for all trades and labour in your area.

Who are you?
• 7+ years relevant civil construction experience.
• Relevant experience in delivering projects in excess of $5 million and leading large site teams.
• Strong communication and management skills.
• A proven track record in delivering complete contract scope on safe, under budget, on time and a quality product.
• Drivers license and own transport & flexibility with regional travel within NSW.

A Career with us

Wamarra is an equal opportunity employer. Our teams are made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, with aligned ways of working, enabling us to overcome any challenge, advance our careers and outperform competitors.

Staff perks and benefits offered to build an engaged and talented workforce include:
• Tailored professional development opportunities for career advancement.
• Opportunities to work on a wide variety of exciting and complex projects.
• Annual social calendar of activities and events.
• A corporate social responsibility program for the chance to support not-for-profits and social enterprises.
• Bonus leave days including your birthday off and a day of wellbeing.
• Hundreds of discounts at leading retailers with our employee perk program.
• Access to free curated health and wellness content.
• Bupa corporate healthcare benefits.
• Access to 24/7 confidential support from a nurse or wellbeing expert.

We’re committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is fair, inclusive, free from bias and accessible for all candidates.

Social responsibility

We are a socially responsible business – it’s part of our DNA and who we are as an Aboriginal-owned and operated business.

Our aim is the integration and longevity of Aboriginal people in civil construction projects and industry. That means we lead with an awareness of our cultural values and Aboriginal aspirations and invest in Aboriginal people and organisations that support meaningful careers and the sustained livelihood of Aboriginal people and their families.

We are an inclusive workplace and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, veterans, and individuals from diverse cultural and life experiences are encouraged to apply.
