GreenWaste Recovery LLC is hiring a Spotter in Stockton, CA, to manage traffic flow at their facility. Responsibilities include directing trucks, grading materials, and ensuring safety compliance. The position requires physical stamina, teamwork, and effective communication skills. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, with a typical workweek from Monday to Friday, and may involve outdoor conditions and weekend work.

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Spotter to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our site located at 2435 East Weber Avenue, Stockton, CA 95205 and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Spotter to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s main function will manage traffic flow in and out of the facility. They will direct trucks where to load and unload, grade material being dumped on the tipping floors, and monitor all rolling stock, truck and pedestrian traffic to facilitate a safe working environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Follow Company and Cal-OSHA safety procedures to ensure safe working habits and awareness.
• Monitor all site traffic including trucks, pedestrians, and all rolling stock.
• Direct trucks delivering loads to the proper tipping location.
• Direct trucks picking up materials to the proper loading locations.
• Distribute and collect onsite handheld radios to communicate with haulers when staging deliveries.
• Work closely with the scale house team and the site supervisors to optimize traffic flow and minimize delays and backups.
• Grade the loads being delivered to the MRF and report status to the scale for proper material identification.
• Use tablets and cameras as required to document delivered materials.
• Perform other tasks and duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to stand, walk and move over small obstacles for extended periods of time.
• Excellent time management and cognitive thinking ability.
• Understanding tasks and completing them as directed.
• Understands the site traffic patterns and how to use them efficiently.

Qualifications:
• Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety
• Effective time management and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Language Skill:
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish

Physical Demands:
• Standing, bending, lifting, and crouching for extended periods of time
• Requires the ability to handle material weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Normal manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

The typical work week is Monday through Friday. Weekend and evening work may be required. The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions including sun exposure and rain. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced setting with changing working conditions based on the operational needs for the day and or week.

Compensation and Benefits:

Financial compensation will be commensurate with applicable experience. GreenWaste offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, holiday pay, 401K benefits, FSA, and full employee coverage for medical, dental and vision insurance.
