Job Description

IEA Management Services is hiring a Solar Project Coordinator in Kansas City, MO. This role involves managing solar projects across the US, requiring extensive travel (up to 100%). Responsibilities include coordinating engineering studies, managing project specifications, tracking costs, and overseeing quality assurance. Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Solar Project Coordinator! In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing solar projects from inception to completion. You will have the chance to travel across the US, supporting the construction of renewable energy projects.

Location & Travel: This is an exciting travel position (up to 100%), with your work conducted on-site at various project locations throughout the United States. Each project typically spans 8-12 months. We provide a daily per diem to help cover living expenses, and you will have the opportunity for routine travel home during rotations. A vehicle allowance is also included.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate engineering studies and change order requests.
• Collaborate with engineers and estimators on various projects.
• Manage submittals and requests for information during planning stages.
• Engage with owners and clients on project specifications and technical queries.
• Track job costs and predict monthly revenue streams.
• Oversee quality assurance and control on projects.
• Facilitate contract management and billing procedures with owners and clients.
• Review subcontractor applications for payment and issue approvals or adjustments as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in solar or EPC construction, with a strong understanding of construction techniques.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Commitment to health and safety, adhering to Zero Injury principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to interpret technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present information to diverse audiences.
• Calculate and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
