Position Overview

As a Senior Health & Wellness Coach, you will play a critical role in enhancing the overall health, well-being, and quality of life of our residents. You will design, implement, and oversee wellness programs that incorporate physical activity, cognitive engagement, nutrition, emotional well-being, and social connection. Your leadership will foster a culture of wellness among residents, families, and staff, ensuring that our seniors thrive in a supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement personalized wellness programs for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia, focusing on physical fitness, cognitive stimulation, nutrition, and emotional support.
• Provide individual and group coaching sessions to support residents in achieving their wellness goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and caregivers to integrate holistic wellness strategies into daily care plans.
• Educate and train staff and families on wellness techniques, stress management, and best practices for dementia-friendly wellness initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-driven improvements to enhance residents' well-being.
• Stay current on the latest research and best practices in senior wellness, Alzheimer’s care, and holistic health strategies.
• Encourage social engagement and community involvement to prevent isolation and improve mental health among residents.

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Health & Wellness, Gerontology, Kinesiology, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certified Health Coach, Wellness Coach, Personal Trainer, or Nutritionist credentials are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in senior wellness, dementia care, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive decline, and evidence-based wellness strategies for aging populations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach to coaching and care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
