Senior Environmental Project Manager

RK&K is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a driven Senior Project Manager to join our Environmental Services team, dedicated to fulfilling both public and private sector client needs throughout the United States. In this role, you will take the lead in developing and executing environmental due diligence, contaminant investigations, remediation strategies, permitting, and facility compliance assessments that support infrastructure improvements and real estate transactions.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a blend of robust project management expertise and technical acumen. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a creative problem solver, and self-motivated, with a passion for enhancing RK&K’s environmental service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple concurrent environmental services projects and tasks.Identify opportunities and capture work requiring environmental services.Understand and apply governing Federal and State regulations and standards, including OSHA, ASTM standards, and state DOT clearances/permits.Analyze data, interpret results, and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.Develop project budgets and track progress against established metrics.Collaborate with team members to prepare detailed technical reports and proposals offering solutions for client projects.Act as the primary liaison between clients and the firm.Mentor and guide staff across the organization.Contribute to group planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.Engage in proposal development, marketing efforts, and client relationship management.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Geology, or Earth Sciences.Current professional license, registration, or certification (PE, PG, CHMM, CSP, CIH, etc.).A minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental services, including both personnel and client management.Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven client coordination experience.Ability to manage both direct tasks and those of others within set schedules and budgets.Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of state DOT environmental clearances, due diligence, and permitting processes.Possession of multi-state licensure, professional registrations, or additional technical certifications.Additional Information
