SOLV Energy LLC is seeking a Senior Energy Storage Project Manager - Preconstruction to lead the management and coordination of energy storage projects from award to mobilization. Responsibilities include budget management, project scheduling, contract negotiations, and collaboration with various departments. Candidates should have at least 3 years of energy storage construction experience and relevant qualifications. This position is fully remote.
SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

Job Description Summary:

The Senior Preconstruction Project Manager - Energy Storage is responsible for leading the Energy Storage Preconstruction Group's efforts with daily management, coordination, and successful completion of the energy storage project scope, budget, and schedule from notice of award to project mobilization. Additional responsibilities include managing project meetings, performing cost comparisons, updating project schedules, managing contract exhibits through execution, and strategic buyout negotiations as needed to maintain budget.

This role is fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Able to perform all Preconstruction Project Manager job responsibilitiesMaintain cost control ledger and job cost statementsPrepare billings and expedite paymentsSet up and maintain all aspects of the CMiC systemPrepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate bidsWrite project proceduresReview plans for completeness and accuracySupervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staffEnsure procurement activities align with LNTP scope, budget, and schedulesCollaborate with the business development, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal departments to create contract scopes of workWork with Engineering and Procurement to understand design constraints and material lead-times to ensure long lead procurement items are appropriately released during the LNTP phaseDefine and create LNTPsResearch and understand project specific design requirements (internal requirements, owner/contract requirements, and permit requirements)Liaison with the Engineering Manager to track changes that impact project schedule and/or budget and provide those changes to the Project ExecutiveRepresent SOLV Energy in owner meetingsSupport estimating reconciliation for each design iterationMaintain timely and accurate reporting to the Project Team and management, specifically cost forecasting and estimated cost at completionEffectively manage project risk; evaluate probability and severity of risk events as they are identified / anticipated and prepare mitigation plans with project team operations managementDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Engineers, Vendors and Subcontractors; develop strategies and skills to build a strong partnership with the Owner, while still ensuring prompt owner notification of impacts and preservation of rights under the EPCMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experienceThorough understanding of plans and specificationsField experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent)Leadership ability - able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment and organize them into a cohesive, high-performing project teamEffective written and verbal communications skills and organizational skillsStrong computer skills with MS Office suite, as well as other industry-standard tools, such as Bluebeam RevuFundamental knowledge of contract law and project accountingOrganizational and communication skills; must have strong people skillsDetail-oriented, motivated self-starterAble to travel (estimated 25%)5+ years construction experience2+ years scheduling and estimating experienceApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation Range:

$141,590 - $176,987
