Reports To: Sr. VP of Business Development
North American Renewables, Inc (NAR), a leading renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, is a sister company to Professional Electrical Contractors of CT, Inc (PEC). In the calendar years 2022 and 2023, NAR operated within the framework of PEC and performed EPC business under the PEC name. On November 1, 2023, NAR was founded and later was formally launched as a stand-alone business with our customer base (on January 1, 2024). Much like PEC, NAR has delivered on the promise of quality workmanship and industry leading safety standards on our construction projects – completed on time and within budget. Our strengths lie in the combined talents of our principles and associates, our diverse technical and business skills, and from our strategic understanding of the renewable energy community shared solar and distributed generation markets. NAR performs work on projects up to 20 MW AC. Over the past few years, NAR has developed a diverse pipeline and customer base. Our projects are located throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions. NAR focuses on high quality work over volume, with the leading Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in our markets as we continue to grow.
Position Overview:
North American Renewables (NAR) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Sales Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team (which consists of the Sales and Preconstruction departments) in achieving their goals by managing sales operations, analyzing sales data, providing administrative support to the Business Development team, and in the ongoing development and maintenance of a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM). The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment and take a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role will work closely with members of the NAR leadership team and will have a unique opportunity (early in one's career) to work with those at the top of the organization. This is a key role for developing up and coming talent within our company, if you join us, you will learn the renewable energy industry inside and out in your first year and then have opportunities to grow either within the business development team, or elsewhere in the organization (such as contract management, engineering, procurement, project management, etc).
Responsibilities:
Document, manage and assist in maintaining sales operations processes, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance analysis. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness. Provide administrative support to the Sr. Vice President or Sales in pipeline execution, prime contracting, and sales proposals.Act as a liaison between the Business Development team and other departments, such as Engineering, Construction, and Operations.Assist in the development of process maps and implementation of best practices.Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in sales operations and administration.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field. The capacity to learn on the go, and immediately implement new skillsRenewable energy experience is a plus.Interests in business development, sales, sales operations, and sales administration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, CRM software (HubSpot), and other sales tools. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in an entrepreneurial organization is a plus.
