Job Description

Jupiter Power LLC is seeking a Renewable Energy Technician for a battery site in Coldwater, MI. The role involves construction and maintenance of substations and battery storage systems, troubleshooting high voltage equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and 4 years of high voltage electrical experience. This is a full-time, on-site position.

We are looking for a Renewable Energy Technician for a battery site in the Coldwater, Michigan area.




Essential Functions

Perform basic work in construction and maintenance of all substations, transmission, collection system, and battery storage systems.Provides troubleshooting assistance and resolution with protections and control equipment and relay schemesReports and coordinates emergency response and repair to all high voltage equipment and BESS systemsEstablishes and maintains high voltage inventory, equipment, tooling, and vehiclesBOP operations and construction, including substation equipment, and BESS equipmentLOTO training and proficiencyOperate the facility in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.Supports emergency response during after hour call-outsInterface and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landownersAble to understand, read, and high voltage electrical schematicsEnsures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and market requirementsPerform other job-related duties as assigned.





Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license4 years' High Voltage electrical experience.Experience using and understanding diagnostic toolsComputer operation skills, familiar with internet-based program navigation and have the ability to generate and interpret computer dataAbility to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics with attention to detailAbility to follow safety protocols on siteEffectively communicate with third parties, vendors, and co-workersGood written communication skills

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to50pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
