Public Transportation Superintendent

Transdev is seeking a Public Transportation Superintendent in Commerce City, CO, responsible for overseeing the maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles. The role includes directing maintenance personnel, ensuring vehicle safety and regulatory compliance, and conducting daily safety meetings. Candidates should have at least five years of mechanical experience, a valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement, and preferably some supervisory experience. This is a full-time position.
About the Role
The Public Transportation Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of a fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will direct supervisors, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety and regulatory requirements. Your duties will include making decisions concerning employee discipline, conducting daily safety meetings, and ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of five years of progressive mechanical experience, including hands-on diesel mechanic experience. You should also have a valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and forklift certification. Experience in a supervisory or lead role is preferred, but not required. An associate degree in management, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is also desirable. However, an amount of experience equivalent to an associate degree can be substituted.
