Bus Driver

Transdev is seeking an experienced Bus Driver in Modesto, CA, responsible for safely transporting passengers and providing excellent customer service. The position offers a starting pay of $22.25, benefits including paid vacation and medical coverage, and requires a valid driver's license and CDL permit. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess strong communication skills. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our elite team in Modesto, CA. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

$22.25 - $30.25 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale)


Starting pay $22.25 with progression to $31.30 over 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:




Drive a transit bus and transport passengers safely, timely and efficiently.


Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment.


Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns.


Other duties as required to ensure a safe and courteous ride for our passengers.




Qualifications:




21 years or older


Must obtain a Permit for CDL Class B prior to starting


Valid drivers license for a minimum of 3 years


Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.


Punctual with an emphasis on attendance.




Physical Requirements:



The essential functions of this position require the ability to:




Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.


Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces


Push and pull objects up to XX pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level


Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
