Job Description

Bridge Talent Group is hiring a Project Engineer (Energy) in Nairobi, Kenya, to manage engineering projects in retail and infrastructure. Responsibilities include project planning, execution, compliance, and stakeholder coordination. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least eight years of experience in project management. Proficiency in engineering software and strong leadership skills are essential. The role involves occasional travel based on project needs.
We are seeking to hire an experienced and results-driven Projects Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within a dynamic retail and infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable engineering, regulatory, and company standards.





Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contracting strategies aligned with business and operational requirements.Prepare tender documentation, support bid evaluations, and manage contract administration processes to ensure compliance and value optimization.Coordinate consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project planning, execution, and delivery.Monitor project costs, timelines, quality standards, and compliance with technical specifications and statutory requirements.Support project commissioning, handover processes, preparation of final accounts, project documentation, and post-project evaluations.Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.Prepare project progress reports and provide regular updates to management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in project management, contract management, or engineering project execution.Proven exposure to the design, construction, maintenance, or upgrade of oil and gas facilities or similar infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of project planning, procurement processes, budgeting, cost control, contractor management, and contract administration.Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, quality assurance, quality control, and statutory compliance requirements.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and other relevant engineering software applications.Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Working Conditions
The role requires occasional travel outside the primary work location based on project requirements.
